Amina Martha and Stacy Ayoma are the latest Kenyan boxers to exit the ongoing IBA World women Boxing championships in Istanbul, Turkey.
Ayoma fell to Democratic Republic of Congo’s Jocelyn Tshamala when she went down 5-0 on Thursday night.
Martha also lost 5-0 to Poland Wiktoria Rogalinska of Poland in bantamweight.
Ayoma and Martha join other six compatriots who have exited the championships led by Lorna Kusa, Christine Ongare, Ann Wanjiru, Beatrice Akoth, Elizabeth Akinyi and Teresia Wanjiru.
So far Kenya has two boxers, Welterweight Everlyn Akinyi and light heavyweight Liz Andiego at the championships.
Akinyi meets 2019 African Games bronze medallist Ivanusa Moreira of Cape Verde in the round of 16 on Sunday while Andiego will face either South Africa’s Mkateko Sithole or Elif Guneri of Turkey in the quarterfinal on Monday.
