Strathmore University side The Blades won back to back matches when Kenya basketball Federation (KBF) league kicked off over the weekend.
The students defeated both Umoja and Nairobi Thunder 73-65 and 76-69 on Saturday and Sunday respectively to take the top position with four points from the two matches played.
After losing the title to Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) Ulinzi Warriors started on a high note, beating newcomers Zetech University 70-30 in an easy match.
Eagle Wings were 44-40 winners against Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) in the women Premier league.
