Olympic Games 1,500m silver medalist Timothy Cheruiyot and Africa 1,500m champion Abel Kipsang have all qualified to compete in the 1,500m final at the ongoing Commonwealth Games in Birmingham in England.
The reigning Commonwealth Games 1,500m silver medalist, Cheruiyot finished second in heat one in 1:37.82.
The former World 1,500m champion was defeated Oliver Hoare from Australia won the heat in 3:37.52.
Kipsang rallied from behind to finish third in heat 2 in 3:48.63 won by world 1,500m champion Jake Wightman 3:48.34.
