Cheruiyot retains silver as Hoare win 1,500m gold in Birmingham

Olympic games 1,500m silver medalist Timothy Cheruiyot won 1,500m silver medal at the ongoing Commonwealth Games in Birmingham in England.

Cheruiyot settled for silver, the same medal he won four years ago in Glasgow after losing the world championships title to Jake Wightman.

The race was won by Oliver Hoare who triumphed 3: 30.12 and Cheruiyot’s 3:30.21 as Wightman went for bronze in 3:30.53.
