All Kenya volleyball schools started registered all their wins in the second day of Federation of East Africa Secondary Schools Sports Association (FEASSSA) in Musanze, Rwanda.
Defending champion Malava Boys won their second match against Rwanda’s Karubanda in a five thrilling setter.
The Kenyan side won the first two sets in 25-21 and 25-18 but enjoying home fans, Karubandi came from down to take the third and fourth set of 25-17 and 25-20 to stretch to 5th set that the Kenyan champions worked hard to win in 16-14.
Mkaing their maiden appearance at the regional games, Kapkenyeloi registered the second win by beating Uganda’s Wangwa in straight sets of 25-21, 25-23 and 25-14 in boys.
In girls’ volleyball, former champions Cheptil worked hard to defeat Soweto in an all kenyan battle. After defating them at the national games in Eldoret last month, Cheptil won in 3-1 (25-19, 25-21, 18-25 and 25-18) before Kwanthanze thrashed homeside St. Alloys 3-2 (17-25, 25-19, 21-25, 25-18 and 15-08).
