Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Shield Cup champions Kariobangi Sharks was eliminated from CAF Confederation Cup group stages when they lost to Ghana giants Asante Kotoko at Baba Yara stadium.
Making their debut to continental championships, Kariobangi Sharks lost 2-1 Asante Kotoko in Kumasi after playing out to a barren draw in Nairobi’s Moi Sports Centre, Kasarani a week ago.
Just like Kenya Premier league champions Gor Mahia who were eliminated by Lobi Stars of Nigeria, they dropped to Caf Confederation Cup where they will play another round of matches against a yet to be named opponent to qualify for the group phase.
