National Super League side Shabana FC has appointed Joseph Ongoro as the acting coach before another coach is appointed.
Ongoro, who hs been serving as the team’s goalkeeper trainer will serve after coach and former defender Vincent Nyaberi resigned following a 2-1 loss to demoted side Kisumu All Stars at their backyard on Wednesday.
This was the second lost for the Kisii based team after drawing against Chemelil in the opening match and drew 2-2 against Mt Kenya United.
Ongoro’s first game in charge of the team will be an encounter against Mwatate FC at Wundanyi Stadium in Taita Taveta County on January 3, 2021. Mwatate is being handled by former Shabana head coach Andrew Kanuli.
