It was an all Kenyan affair at the Kuala Lumpur marathon held on Sunday October 1st in Malaysia, sweeping the podium in both men and women.
In women, Beatrice Jelagat Cherop won the title when she timed 2:32.51, running away with the course record.
She was followed closely by compatriot Truphena Chepchirchir who managed 2:32.55 before Sheila Jepkosgei Chesang completing the podium at 2:35.50.
It was the similar trend in men when Kiprop Tanui was crowned the champion with personal best of 2:13.49. he was followed by John nzau Mwangangi (2:14.03) and Moses Kiptoo Kurgat in 2:14.22.
