National rugby 7s circuit champions Kenya Harlequins will be facing off with former champions Nakuru RFC at the Driftwood 7s, the opening leg of Kenya Rugby Union (KRU) 7s circuit in Mombasa.
The matches at the Mombasa Sports Club was great for top clubs like immediate champions Kabras Sugar, KCB, Menengai Oilers and other top teams who made it to the quarterfinals set for tomorrow.
Seeded top, the champions were 14-7 winners over Kenyatta University Blak Blad in pool A before beating Mwamba 17-0 then 45-0 over Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST).
Kabras Sugar recorded 100% wins with a 26-0 over Nakuru, 21-07 win over Impala Saracens and 43-0 against the hosts Mombasa RFC in pool B.
