Beatrice Chebet win 10,000m gold at Tokyo World Championships

Double Olympic Games champion Beatrice Chebet delivered a masterclass by winning the 10,000m, the first gold for Kenya at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, Japan.

Chebet won the title that was won by Vivian Cheruiyot in 2015 in a time of 30:37.61  ahead of Italian Nadia Battocletti who settled for silver in 30:38.23 and Ethiopia defending champion Gudaf Tsegay took bronze in 30:39.65 while Agnes Chebet Ng;etich was 4th at

Apart from today’s win, Chebet will also double in the 5,000m later in the week the similar version as she did the same in the 5,000m and 10,000m at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games in France.
