Omanyala, Cheruiyot, Serem, Krop to lead Kenyans at Paris Diamond League

Kenyans Ferdinand Omanyala, Reynold Cheruiyot, Edmund Serem and Jacob Krop will lead compatriots at the Paris Diamond League set for tomorrow in France.

This comes after the Paris Police confirmed that the meeting will go on as planned following suspecions of cancellation due to heavy heat in the French Capital.

Organisers from World Athletics have adjusted the event schedule to accommodate the extreme heatwave affecting Europe.

Omanyala will be the only Kenyan competing in the 100m race. He will be up against American Antony Jordan, Jeremiah Azu from Great Britain among others.

Reynold Cheruiyot will be up against Abel Kipsang in the 1,500m men.  

The 3,000m steeplechase has attracted three Kenyans led by experienced Abraham Kibiwot, Edmunc Serem and Wilberforce Kones.

5,000m has Jacob Krop among three others.
