Kenya on revenge mission against Uganda at East African Regional Baseball5 Championship finals

For the second time, Kenya will be taking on the hosts Uganda at the finals of the ongoing East African Regional Baseball5 Championship in Uganda.

The Hamz stadium encounter in Kampala was good for Kenya after booking for the final play against Uganda at the final of the East African Regional Baseball5 Championship.

Unbeaten Kenyan youngsters advanced to the championship match after being awarded a walkover when South Sudan which failed to honour their fixture. They then underlined their title credentials with a dominant 2-0 sets victory over Tanzania, winning 10-1 and 11-0 to maintain their unbeaten run in the tournament.

The impressive result keeps Kenya firmly on course to reclaim the East African regional crown.

In the final, Kenya will face hosts Uganda in a highly anticipated rematch of last year’s championship clash. Uganda secured their place in the final after edging Tanzania 2-1 in a hard-fought semifinal.

The title decider presents Kenya with a golden opportunity to avenge last year’s defeat to Uganda, which denied them the regional championship. The Kenyan camp remains optimistic and focused ahead of the decisive encounter, with players and technical staff confident of delivering a strong performance and bringing the East African Baseball5 trophy back home.

A victory would mark a successful return to the top of regional Baseball5 and reaffirm Kenya’s growing strength in the sport at the junior level
