Hosts KCB will be taking on Homeboyz, Kabete Stallions and JKUAT Cougars at the 5th edition of KCB MET 7s set for KCB Sports Club, Ruaraka, on Saturday, July 4.
As part of their preparations for the 7s circuit, KCB is confident of delivering a strong performance in the Kenya Rugby Union (KRU) sanctioned tournament that has drawn a competitive field of 16 teams divided into four pools.
As the hosts, the bankers have been seeded first and will play Homeboyz RFC, Kabete Stallions and JKUAT Cougars in pool A.
Pool B features Daystar Falcons, KU Blakblad, Makueni Ravens and USIU Eagles, while Pool C comprises Catholic Monks, Zetech, NYS and Mean Machine. Pool D brings together Kenya Harlequins, Mwamba RFC, Stingerz RFC and Northern Suburbs, setting the stage for an exciting day of sevens rugby.
The KCB MET 7s has become an important build-up event for clubs preparing for the National Sevens Circuit, offering coaches an opportunity to assess combinations, integrate new players and fine-tune tactics under competitive conditions.
