After she was ushered in as a new Lady Captain of Eldoret golf club, Jane Koech immediately won a trip for the second of Pro-Am KCB Karen Masters last weekend when she was crowned the lady winner in the third round of KCB Road to Karen Masters hosted by her at Eldoret club.

Koech, who won the overall lady’s prize on her birthday was optimistic of good results on Saturday.
The Lady Captain will be on cards for this year’s Crown Paint golf tournament that will be hosted at the same club and and will be in the first flight playing with Amos Butit and former Lady captain Catherine Gatua, teeing off at 7:50am.
Playing handicap 14, Koech said the course is in good condition and expects to play well come Saturday.
“I am going to do my practice today to sharpen some skills and I know I will play well,” said Koech nwho will be two weeks old as the club’s lady captain..
It will also be the spicy golf day following the introduction of Eldoret’s only professional golfer Boniface Simwa.
Simwa, who plays professional golf alongside his young brother Nelson Simwa will tee off at 11:30am playing with club chairman Andrew Chelogoi and Kitale based golfer E. Barno and Nandi Bears Captain Mutai Kendiowo.
Immediate captain Moses Tanui will be teeing off at 11:40am accomapnied by former Elgeyo Marakwet County deputy governor Gabriel Lagat, former Kitale captain Stephen Malakwen and N. Totorei.
Other Kitale club golfers will be Ali Babuh, P. Kae, R. Kae and S. Chepkwony, who will also fly North Rift flag at Karen Masters.
