Twelve time champions AFC Leopards have overtaken Gor Mahia at the top of the Kenya Premier League following their victory against newbies Nairobi United in rescheduled match 2.
After a 1-0 loss to Kakamega Homeboyz on Monday, Leopards came out guns blazing by beating the newly promoted side Naibois 2-0 in a match plated at the Nyayo national stadium today.
Nairobi defender Tyson Otieno headed in his own goal to hand Leopards a 1-0 lead in the 20th minute before Kelly Madada sealed the 2-0 victory in the 70th minute.
After the win, Leopards now sit atop the table with 27 points ahead of Gor Mahia on 26 points as Nairobi remain in position 9 on 19 points.
