The reigning African Nations Championships (CHAN) silver medalist Algeria eliminated Guinea from the championships following their victory today at the Nelson Mandela stadium in Kampala, Uganda.
Algeria, who lost the final match in 2022 to Senegal 5-4 in post match penalties, played out to 1-1 draw when Guinea played their last pool match while Algeria will be playing their last pool match next week.
In a pool of five matches, Guinea started with 1-0 victory against Niger in pool C ebfore falling to Uganda 3-0, then fell 2-1 to South Africa and today’s 1-1 draw put them out of the contention with four points while leaders Uganda has 6.
