All set for Kenya Amateur Matchplay at Vet Lab

Kenya Amateur Golf Championships (KAGC) series leader John Karichu will be the first golfer on the tee at this year’s Kenya   Amateur Matchplay at par 72 Vet Lab golf club on Wednesday morning as second placed Mike Kisia will be on the tenth tee.

The winner of the tournament qualifies directly to play at the annual Kenya Open championships to be staged next year March.

Coming from Limuru golf club, Karichu will be in the 7th knockout round of the 7th leg of KAGC series across the country.

Fresh from winning the Coronation Trophy, KAGC meeting in Nakuru club, Karichu will open the greens with Chris Andrea and Simon Karari. On the tenth tee, home golfer Kisia was also given a bye on the tenth tee will be with Michael Ngene and Reuben Lagat.

Winners in round one between Karichu who has been given a bye in Wednesday’s opener in the first tee, Karari will meet Kevin Juma, Robert Odero, Isaiah Otuke and Sheleen Nanji.

Kisia’s group will be meeting Joseph Gathumbi, David Murigi,  John Kariuki and Robert Nyanchoga in Thursday morning.
