Marred with age cheating, Baring and Nandi County emerged top at the Central Rift Talanta Hela tournament that came to a close at the Chebisaas High school grounds in Uasin Gishu County.
In the boys’ category, Baringo emerged top with nine points in the four inter-county championships played in round robin.
Baringo, who lost the opening match to Uasin Gishu, were later handed three points and 2-0 goals for fielding ineligible player.
With 2-0 against the hosts, they went ahead to beat Nandi county, who fielded only eight players 4-1 and another 3-2 win over Elgeyo Marakwet County (EMC).
The hosts, after losing the three points, they went ahead to beat EMC 3-1 and 13-2 thrashing of Nandi to collect six points. With a single win, EMC picked three points while Nandi went home pointless.
In girls’, Nandi were top of the charts with 7 points followed by Uasin gishu with 5, Baringo 3 and 0 for EMC.
Uasin Gishu were 4-1 winners over Baringo, drew 1-1 with EMC and bareen draw against Nandi while the winners were 5-0 winners over EMC, beating Baringo 3-1 and a draw against the hosts.
Barimgo in third position walked home with 3 points while EMC had 0 points.
