National 1,500m champion Brian Komen won Kenya’s 7th gold medal at the ongoing Africa Games in Accra, Ghana.
The little known Komen defeated the reigning Africa 1500m champion Abel Kipsang for the 1,500m title in 3:39.19 ahead of Ethiopian Girma Shire who finished second in 3:39.40 while Kipsang completed the podium in 3:39.45.
