Catholic Monks defeated USIU Martials in the university derby to take to the top of the KRU Championships, the second tier rugby 15s league yesterday.
Monks, who remains unbeaten in week 2 of the title race, won 39-12 away to USIU to take lead after a walk over in the opening match then collected 10 points.
Another university side Zetech Oaks of Zetech University lies second with 9 points from two wins from two as JKUAT Cougars comes third on 7 points.
