At the semifinals today, NCPB beat Rwanda Police 28-25 while Gicumbi edged out Uganda Prisons 33-23.
NCPB took a 15-9 advantage at the breather but remained unperturbed even after the Rwandese charged back to close in at 18-16 hardly ten minutes after the resumption.
Gicumbi dominated the other semis leading 16-8 at halftime before finishing the job with ease.
In the ladies’ games that were played on a round-robin format, champions Nairobi Water Queens and NPBC will fight it out in the deciding tie.
NCPB on the other hand were forced to a 21-21 draw by KDF who saw Sharon Mulei miss a sitter and the winner Naomy Muyoka locked the duel with a last-gasp penalty.
It was the end of the road for the General Service Unit (GSU) and Equity Bank as they picked up losses in their last games of the group.
The bankers were crushed to a 32-31 defeat at the hands of Evergreen and GSU were downed 29-27 by Rwanda Police in the other game.
