CHAN: Angola beat Zambia to move second

Angola came from a goal down to beat Zambia at the ongoing African Nations Championships (CHAN) in a match played at the Nyayo National stadium in Nairobi.

Zambia’s Chipolopolo (The Copper Bullets) scored first through Dominic Chanda in the 73rd minute but Angola’s Palancas Negras (Sable Antelopes) responded through Kaporal who leveled in the 79th minute and bagged a brace at 86th to seal a 2-1 victory for Pedro Concalves coached side while Zambia coach Avram Grant remained winless in the tournament.

With the victory, Angola has moved into the second position with four points after losing to Morocco 2-0 in the opening match, drew 1-1 with Kenya and a 2-1 win against Zambia.

Next Angola will face Democratic Republic of Congo in their last pool A match at Nyayo stadium while Zambia, with zero pints after two matches will take on leaders Kenya, who have 7 points.

Earlier on, Kenya beat former champions Morocco 1-0 to maintain unbeaten run in pool A with two wins and a draw.
