Congo played out to a draw against Sudan in their pool D opener at the ongoing African Nations Championships (CHAN) played at the Amaan stadium in Zanzibar.
The Tuesday August 5, 2025 encounter played to a 1-1 draw after in their ever first meeting between Congo and Sudan.
Musa Ali Hussien scored first for Sudan in the 29th minute, before Carly Ekongo Landou leveled in the 86th minute.
Congo head coach Barthélemy Ngatsono just like his opponent coach James Kwesi Appiah side will go into the second match with a point each.
