Uganda rekindled their chances of qualifying into the quarterfinals of the ongoing African Nations Championships (CHAN) following their victory against Guinea at the Nelson Mandela stadium in Kampala, Uganda.
After losing 3-0 in the opening fixture against Algeria, Uganda handed similar victory against Guinea in their second pool C match with goals from Reagan Mpande, Allan Okello and Ivan Ahimbisibwe.
With the win, the Cranes are now second with 3 points in the pool behind Algeria with 4 points, who drew 1-1 with South Africa in the earlier match.
Mpande scored in the 31st minute with Okello doubling for coach Soulaymane Camara.
