Reigning Africa Games 10,000m champion Janeth Chepnegtich and Michael Selelo Saoli were crowned the 2025 champions of Tinderet Mountain Run held yesterday in Tinderet, Nandi County.
The defending champion Chepngetich, successfully defended her title after winning the women’s 20km race when she clocking 1:32:27 beating Damaris Chepkemoi Towett to second at 1:35:04 with Caroline Chepkoech Kimutai completing the podium in 1:35:46.
A few months after representing the country at the World Mountain run, the
Meru University Mountain Run champion Selelo won the men’s title at 1:19:06 followed closely by Fredrick Domong’ole, who has been a friend to the course, competing in all the five editions to second at 1:20:02 with Paul Machoka coming third in 1:20:09.
