Former world cross country champion Irene Chepet Cheptai and Sheila Chepkirui won silver and bronze respectively in the 10,000m at the ongoing Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England.
The Kenyans failed to control the last kick of Eilish McColgan from Scotland who won gold in 30:48.60 with championships record.
Cheptai won silver in 30:49.52 followed by Chepkirui, the 2016 Africa 5,000m champion, timed 31:09.58 for bronze.
McColgan is the daughter of Liz McColgan, who won gold in the 10,000m at the Edmonton World Championships in 1991.
Kenya now have six medals; three silver and three bronze
