After months of waiting, construction works have begun for the Jomo Kenyatta International Stadium in Kisumu County.
The facility launched by Sports Cabinet Secretary at a cost of Sh350 million facility at Mamboleo ASK Grounds will take approximately six months to completion that is groundbreaking was done on Wednesday by Kisumu Governor Prof Peter Anyang’ Nyong’o.
The new stadium will have a main playing field of international standards, eight lanes running track, spectators’ stands all-round the stadium, VIP pavilion, a lounge,, changing rooms, media center, a boardroom, modern ablution block and ample parking.
