Sports Cabinet Secretary Dr Amina Mohammed has disbanded Football Kenya Federation (FKF) with immediate effect.
Amina after disbanding the federation, appointed a caretaker committee led by former Justice Aaron Ringera after she received the audit report on FKF from Sports Registrar Rose Wasike.
The CS said she hoped that the World Governing body, Fifa, would “help the government clean up the mess in football” and not ban the country following her intervention.
Ringera will be chairing a 15-member committee led by General Retired Moses Oyugi, Fatma Adan, Philip Musyimi, Anthony Isayi, Elisha Kiplagat, Hassan Haji, Fredrick Tureisa, Mwangi Muthee, Neddy Atieno, Ali Amour, Titus Kasuve, Richard Omwela, Bobby Ogolla and JJ Masiga.
