Defending champion Daniel Simiu Ebenyo will be among the top athletes that will be facing off at the 5th edition of Sirikwa Classic Cross country championships set for February 14th at the Lobo Village in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County.
The reigning world cross country bronze medalist, Ebenyo, who be chasing a hatrick was named by Athletics Kenya among the elite athletes that will be chasing the title.
Among those called for the championships alongside former London Marathon champion Alexander Munyao, the World Under 20 5000m champion Andrew Alamisi Kiptoo, and world 3000m steeplechase bronze medalist Edmund Serem, world 1500m bronze medalist Reynold Cheruiyot, 2023 World Cross Country junior champion Ishmael Kipkurui and budding youngster Phanuel Koech.
