Gaming firm SportPesa has injected Ksh 15 Million into the 2025 National Sevens Circuit that kicks off this weekend in Mombasa, National Sevens Circuit, the Driftwood 7s at the Mombasa Sports Club.
The two day championships kicks off on July 26th to 27th has attracted top notch clubs where Kenya Rugby Union has released the official pool draws for both Division One and Division Two, confirming the teams that will battle it out as the new season kicks off.
Today, the union’s KRU Chairperson Harriet Okach expressed gratitude towards SportPesa for walking the journey with Rugby and for coming on board as the sponsors for the National Seven circuit, your support couldn’t have come at a better time. This circuit marks the beginning of our journey to qualify both our men’s and women’s teams for HSBC Tier 1 status next year. We are more than confident than ever that Kenya will rise again on the global stage.

According to the pools, Division One, defending circuit champions Kenya Harlequins headline leads Pool A against MMUST, KU Blak Blad, and Mwamba RFC.
Pool B will see Kenya Cup winners Kabras Sugar RFC take on Catholic Monks, Nakuru RFC, and Impala RFC.
Former champions KCB RFC, who finished as runners-up in the 2024 circuit, are placed in Pool C alongside Nondescripts RFC, Daystar Falcons, and hosts MSC Rugby.
Pool D will feature Menengai Oilers, Strathmore Leos, Stallions Rugby, and Kabarak University.
Driftwood Sevens remains one of the most iconic tournaments on the local rugby calendar, known not only for its competitive fixtures but also for the vibrant energy and community spirit that surrounds it. As the first leg of the six-stop circuit, it plays a vital role in setting the pace for the rest of the season, which will later move to Nakuru, Nairobi, Embu, Machakos, and Kisumu.
