Double world record holder Faith Kipyegon has sent warm greetings to her father ahead of the World Father’s Day come Sunday 18th June.
Speaking today after he was rewarded with a car in Eldoret by Rana Auto Selection Kipyegon wished her father a long life as he drives himself into the world of automobile.
Kipyegon said that the award has motivated her to the top and break more records in future.
“I want to wish my father a happy fathers’ day. We have come from a very long way back. Let him enjoy what has come his way. Enjoy driving yourself from one destination to another,” said the double Olympic 1,500m champion.
Graced by Uasin Gishu governor Jonathan Bii, she is a star, believing that she has made Kenyans proud.
“We are so happy about her prowess. She is our very own and going forward she is an inspiration to young people and especially athletes and talented that we can do anything in this world,” she said.
Sultan Rana, the CEO of Rana Auto Selection said that they had to celebrate with the champion who has conquered the world.
“We celebrate an athlete achievements who has surpassed the target not one but two world records. We stand here with pride because of your remarkable establishment. This is not just the car but a package of love not just for us but foe the entire nation,” he said.
Her father Samuel Kipyegon said that he used to ride a motorcycle but never owned any vehicle in his life and the blessings came in late.
“This is my first vehicle in my life that has come in my old age but I have to thank my daughter for running across the world to bring such glory to me and the family.”
The vehicle came in handy after Faith had promised on Monday that the cash awards she received at State House Nairobi from President William Ruto would buy her father a new car.
