Handicap 22 golfer Cornelius Kipckoech won the Gallana Oil Golf tournament played today on nine hole Eldoret Golf club.
The home golfer carded 18 and 23 points in each nine to secure the victory beating Peter Maritim on count back on 41 stable ford points.
The man, who admitted that early bird catches the warm, said his win came in handy after “coming to play early” compared to other days when he came late and rushed to the tee.
“I have been practicing all through especially in long and short games that have paid off. Compared to the past tournaments, today I came early, set my mind to play the game that I have won. I used to come late, hurriedly rushing to the tee and the results were not pleasing. Today I was relaxed and played my game hence the good results,” said Kipkoech.
