Edwin Kibet and Guta Hirpa emerged victorious of today’s Lagos Marathon held in Nigeria.
In men’s arce, Kenya’s Kibet won the title in 2:14.19, leading an all Kenya podium sweep with Nehemiah Kipyegon coming second at 2:16.37 with Bernard Cheruiyot sealing the podium in 2:17.17.
The race course record of 2:10.23, set five years ago David Barmasai from Kenya remains standing.
In the women’s category, Ethiopia’s Hirpa emerged victorious, clocking a time of 2:37.02.
