Eldoret Youth begins #Jazastady campaigns in Eldoret

Eldoret Youth has started a campaign to fill the stadium (Jaza stady) ahead of today’s match against Shabana fc in the National Super League (NSL) match at Eldoret Showground.

According to head coach Peter Kihamba, the campaign is meant to market Eldoret Youth, the only team in the North Rift that plays second tier football.

“We want to persuade people to come and watch their their opponents at home. We shall be criss-crossing in various estates within Eldoret to ensure we get fans,” said Kihamba, the former Kenya Cooperative Creameries (KCC).

 Eldoret Youth won the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Division One unbeaten to make it to the NSL.

“We want to attract fans and we are starting our campaigns in Langas, where the stadium is based, followed by Huruma, Kimumu, Maili nne and camp in Langas on Wednesday morning before the kick-off at one,” added Kihamba.

Apart from feeling the stadium, they will be using the event as part of fundraising to fund the team’s away matches. Because of its financial status, they need raise funds to sustain the team.

“We need to raise funds to ensure we succeed in our campaign as we take on top level football in the country,” said Kihamba.

Shabana, who returns in the league is in position six from 7 matches and 13 points, ahead of Eldoret Youth with two points at 11 from similar matches.

In other NSL matches, Administration police will host league leaders Ushuru fc, third placed FC Talanta tackle Green Commandos as second placed Wazito fc play Modern Coast Rangers.
