“I came here with the sole purpose of winning. Just like in any competition, you will always compete for victory nothing much. In this competition, everybody wanted to win. After our work was done, we left all to the judges to decide the best of the best and I was the one,” said Majura.
He added that they always compete knowing that they will win even all the competitors wanted to win and the level each of them reached was a great achievement.
The event manager Nebert Shiveka said they managed to host the event successfully which was bigger than in the past years.
“This was big because we brought together about 335 body builders from five nations, led by Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Malawi and Rwanda with big number of fans. We are also happy that the national government was represented from the ministry of sports and the county governments,” Shiveka.
He said that the sport is growing and next year we might tend to have it big and better than ever.
“By next by God’s grace we are going to increase the prize money and move our venue from Rupaz Mall to Eldoret Sports club because as we have seen today, the venue was full to capacity. This year, we have increased the prize money because last year, the prize money was one million but this year, we increased to 2 million with gift hampers and the winner coming from Tanzania with third finisher from Uganda and Kenya in second. The three countries have well been represented,” he said.
