Gideon Starlets defeated Bandari Queens to earn the Kenya Women Premier League promotion slot during today’s National Super League Play off at the Afraha Stadium in Nakuru.
The Homa Bay based Gideon secured the promotion after defeating Bandari Queens 4-2 on post-match penalties after a goalless draw in regular time.
The Silas Wesechere coached side finished second in Zone B while the Janet Amunga team was second in zone A.
In other results, at the FKF Women’s Division One league playoff matches held at the same venue, Diani Queens edged out TUK Ravens 1-0, while Iron Ladies beat Lowland Queens 5-4 on penalties after a 1-1 draw.
Diani Queens and Iron Ladies will now face off in the Division One final tomorrow (Sunday) to determine the winner.
