Former champions Gor mahia, Bandari, Kakamega Homeboyz and Shabana played a draw in today’s round 13 of the Kenya premier league matches played across the country.
At the Mbaraki stadium in Mombasa, hosts Bandari were held to a 1-1 draw after hosts came from a goal down to pick a point against Gor.
Gor scored first through Adukwan Ebenezza in the 30th minute before Geoffrey Ojunga scored to level.
Gor Mahia coach Charles Akonnor rued the condition of the Mbaraki pitch, insisting it hampered their rhythm.
“We couldn’t play our normal game because of the field, so we went for a medium press. It earned us a goal and we had good moments, especially after the break, but we didn’t take our chances,” Akonnor noted.
At the Bukhungu stadium in kakamega, hosts kakamega Homeboyz played to a 2-2 draw against Shabana.
