Kenya premier League (KPL) giants Gor Mahia will battle out with Egyptian giants Zamalek in the Confederation of Africa (CAF) Confederation Cup in the draw that were held today in Cairo, Egypt.
The reigning KPL champions leads pool D alongside the five time Africa champions Zamalek, Petro Atletico and Na Hussein Dey.
Gor will make their journey to Algeria to play Na Hussein Dey, Angola’s Petro Atletico and Egypt’s Zamalek to face their respective opponents.
The kenyan side will first host Zamalek in their opening group game on February 3, before visiting Angolan side Petro Atletico in their second match on February 13, then travel to Algerian on February 24 and then travel to the North African county to play the side on March 3.
They will face an away trip to Zamalek on March 10, before the final round on March 17 against Petro Atletico of Angola.
The top two teams in each group will advance to the quarterfinals, whose draw is slated for March 20.
Quarterfinalists will bag Sh35 million and semi-finalists Sh45 million, while the winners are primed to take home Sh125 million and runners up Sh63 million.
