Harambee Stars: National team drops nine places

Kenya football national team Harambee Stars has dropped nine places in the latest FIFA rankings according to the report released on Thursday.

The Paul Put led charges moved to position 111 from the previous 102.this follows the Stars failure to play any international friendly this month in the FIFA international week.

With Council for East and Central Africa Football Association (CECAFA) due in less than two weeks on home soil, the national team will be surging to reclaim the title they last won in 2013.

Rated number 25th in Africa, Tunisia leads the continent and 28th position in the world as Egypt second on the continent and 30th globally. Senegal is placed third while DR Congo is fourth with Nigeria closing the top five places.
Cameroon are sixth with World Cup-bound Morocco seventh, Ghana, Burkina Faso and Ivory Coast round off the top 10 African Nations.

World champions Germany top the rankings with former holders Brazil second and European champions Portugal third. Argentina fourth and Belgium fifth. Spain, Poland, Switzerland, France and Chile follow in that order.
