In-form Junaid Manji wins Sigona Bowl title on homeground

Fresh from guiding Sigona golf club to win the Nairobi District Foursome golf tournament, Junaid  Ayanz Manji took advantage of home course to claim the Sigona Bowl title, the opening leg of Kenya Amateur Glf Championships (KAGC) series at the par 72 Sigona Golf club.

In the strong three-day performance Manji posted a winning aggregate score of three under par 213, finishing ahead of a highly competitive field of 150 players from Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, and India.

His victory underlined his strong early-season form and status as one of the country’s leading amateurs. Elvis Muigua of Windsor Golf and Country Club finished second on 217, continuing his impressive run of form.

Dennis Maara of Limuru Country Club rounded out the podium in third place with a total score of 219, capping a strong showing at Sigona.

The Sigona Bowl once again lived up to its reputation as a premier event on the Kenya Golf Union calendar, providing a high-quality competitive platform and valuable ranking points early in the season.

The tournament featured a prize purse of Ksh 115,600, rewarding excellence and consistency across the three rounds.
