Mapro FC are the winners of the 2024 edition of the Multichoice Intermedia Tournament played at the Jamhuri Primary School on Saturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The champions defeated Radio Africa FC 1-0 thanks to Francis Mateiko’s goal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To reach this stage, Mapro defeated NA Installers 1-0 in the quarterfinal before seeing off Nation Media FC 2-1 in the semi-final. They went home Ksh50,000 richer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, George Ajwala-captained Radio Africa FC clinched second place and were awarded Ksh30,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Royal Media FC were awarded Ksh20,000 for claiming the third position after defeating Nation Media FC 3-2 in the third place playoff decided on post match penalties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The tournament attracted 14 teams and was sponsored by leading entertainment company Multichoice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It was strategically organized to engage members of the media in anticipation of the 2024\/25 English Premier League kickoff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It also aimed to foster stronger relationships with the media while highlighting Multichoice’s commitment to delivering premium sports content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
