Veteran professional golfer was on his imperious performace in the last round of Safari Tour Golf tournament by beating Zimbabwean Visitor Mapwanya with a shot to win the Limuru golf meet today.
After playing second fiddle for the last three rounds, Indiza overpowered Mapwanya with seven under par 65 for a total of -14 274 with Mapwanya who had a level ended the tournwment with si under par 275.
With the win, Indiza walked away with a purse of one hundred and fifty thousand Kenya shillings. Mapwanya, who put up a commendable performance at 12 under par, secured the second position and received one hundred thousand Kenya shillings .
Greg Snow and Samuel Njoroge tied third, each walking away with seventy-seven thousand, five hundred Kenya shillings as a testament to their remarkable performance.
The Safari Tour’s fourth leg attracted a diverse field of 66 players from across the continent, including Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi, Rwanda, Uganda, Nigeria, and the host country, Kenya.
As the excitement of the fourth leg settles, attention now turns to the upcoming event at Muthaiga Golf Club, scheduled to take place from January 27 to 31, 2024.
The top 8 players of the series will participate in the upcoming Magical Kenya Open to be held at Muthaiga Golf Club from 22nd to 25th February 2024.
