Isaac Makokha ready to defend Uhuru Shield title at Royal

Kenya Railways golfer Isaac Makokha will be seeking to defend the Uhuru Shield, the penultimate round of the Kenya Amateur Golf Championships (KAGC) series title at the par 72 Royal golf club, Nairobi.

Last year, the reigning Deaflympic Games golf bronze medalist edged out former champion and the current captain John Lejirma in the sudden death play-off for the title after playing identical two over par 218 in the three day 54 hole three day tournament.

With the title already won by Kiambu’s Michael Karanga, the golfers will be eying to earn an individual prize ahead of the final play at the Nyali Open, at Nyali golf club next weekend.

The tournament will tee off tomorrow, Friday 29th to December 1st where 78 amateurs will be up for the top prize money.
