Ivory Coast defeated Kenya’s Harambee Stars to earn a direct ticket for the 2026 FIFA World Cup slot that will be staged in the USA, Canada and Mexico.
The home-side scored 3-0 in Abidjan, raising the flag after a 1-1 draw in the opening leg played early this year.
Frank Kessie opened the score in the 7th minute of the match before Yan Diomande doubled in the 54th minute while Amad Diallo curled in the free kick for 3-0 victory.
The hosts needed a must win match against Kenya for a direct ticket while Kenya was only playing for pride after losing the opportunity when they lost to The Gambia back home in September.
