Sheila Jerotich and Victor Kiplagat were crowned the champions of Istanbul marathon held today in Turkey.
The Kenyan Jerotich won the women’s title in 2:24.15 to lead a 1-2 podium finish for Kenyans as Jackline Chepngeno finished second when she time 2:24.21 with Ethiopian Ayanthu Abdi completing the podium in 2:24.45.
Ugandan Victor Kiplangat won the men’s title in 2:10.18 ahead of Kenyan Robert Kipkemboi (2:10.23) and Ugandan Solomon Mutai completing the podium in 2:10.28.
