Kenya Cup defending champions Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) and Nondescripts started on high in their opening matches played at RFUEA Grounds today.
In the first match in the double header at the RFUEA, Nondies were the surprise winners against Homeboyz RFC 20-14 while KCB thrashed new comers Menengai Oilers 27-05 in the second match.
The win for Nondies against Homeboyz was way back in 2015/2016 season in a 20-12 win at Jamhuri Showground.
It was a bad start for Simon Odongo as Homeboyz head coach who took over from Paul Murunga who was named the Shujaa coach.
The Impala Floodlit champions thrashed Menengai Oilers with five tries and picked five points for winning with five tries
In other results Impala Foodlit losing finalists Impala Saracens beat Kenyatta University side Blak Blad by a slim margin of 18-15.
