KCB whip Kabras to win Dala 7s title in Kisumu

One hour after winning the national 7s circuit title, KCB Rugby defeated Kabras Sugar to win the Dala 7s title, the final leg of Kenya Rugby Union (KRU) National 7s circuit at the Mambo Leo stadium in Kisumu.

The two day event saw bankers beat their nemesis Kabras 12-05 for the Dala 7s title to close the season with both overall circuit champions and Dala 7s winners.

This was the first Cup final clash between the two sides since the 2023 edition. Kabras, who had last appeared in the final in 2024, were chasing history to become the first side to defend the Dala crown since Homeboyz in 2017.

Stephen Odumba converted Samuel Asati’s try for KCB to 7-0 unconverted try by Rayvone Ambale for 7-5 at break.

On resumption, Floyd Wabwire touched down unconverted try for a 12-05 final whistle.

At the play-offs, Menengai Oilers beat Daystar Falcons to win bronze with 33-0 as Nakuru claimed fifth place with a 17-10 victory over Mwamba RFC while Catholic Monks lifted the Challenge Trophy after a 26-7 win over Impala RFC.
