Kenya determined the defend Roll Ball World Cup title in Dubai

Kenya’s Men and Women Roll Ball national teams—both reigning world champions—have entered the final stretch of preparation ahead of the 7th Roll Ball World Cup, set for December 11th to 19th in Dubai. With expectations high and the global spotlight fixed firmly on them, Team Kenya is determined to defend their titles and reaffirm their dominance on the world stage.

The national trials, conducted earlier this season, drew some of the sport’s most competitive talents from across the country. After a rigorous and highly selective process, the technical bench settled on the top 12 players for both the men’s and women’s squads. The chosen athletes are now in camp sharpening their skills, building chemistry, and fine-tuning strategies ahead of the global showpiece.

Men’s team captain Moses Atenya exuded confidence in the squad’s readiness, noting that Kenya enters the tournament as the team to beat.

“We are the defending champions, and we know every team will be coming for us. But we have the right mix of experienced players and fresh, aggressive first-timers. This team is hungry, focused, and going for nothing less than the title,” he said.

Women’s captain Lydia Wangui echoed the same competitive spirit, praising the high level of talent displayed during the trials.

“The sport has been growing in Kenya, and you could see that in the national trials. Every player  pushed themselves to the limit just to make the final squad. This is one of the strongest teams we’ve assembled, and we are ready for Dubai,” she stated.

Kenya Roll Ball Federation President Samuel Litaba expressed full confidence in both squads, applauding their discipline, preparation, and unity.

“These players have shown the heart, resilience, and grit it takes to represent Kenya. The technical bench has done an excellent job, and we believe both teams will shine in Dubai and defend the trophies with the intensity and passion they are known for,” he affirmed.

With the countdown to the World Cup underway, the atmosphere in camp is electric. Training sessions have intensified, tactical drills are becoming sharper, and the spirit of competition is pushing every athlete to elevate their game.

As the defending world champions prepare to fly the Kenyan flag high once again, one message is clear: Kenya is coming to Dubai not just to participate—but to conquer
