Kenya face Uganda in Cecafa opener

Kenya under 17 football team will begin their CECAFA title chase against Uganda tomorrow in the 2017 calender at Chamzi stadium stadium in Tanzania.

Despite three players being dropped from the team because of age cheating, National U17 football has high spirit of as they will also be chasing a place in the 2019 Africa U17 Cup of Nations that will take place in Tanzania.

Kenya has been pooled in Group B and will also be up against Uganda, Ethiopia, and Djibouti, with the top two teams set to qualify for the semifinals.

The winner of the tournament will gain qualification to the 2019 Africa U17 Cup of Nations in Tanzania alongside the hosts who qualify automatically. The second best team could also make it to the tourney in case Tanzania emerges champions.
