Kenya Lionesses, the national women basketball team redeemed their image by beating Cape Verde in the ongoing Fiba AfroBasket Championship in cameroon.
After losing the opening match to hosts Cameroon 74-50 in pool A match on Saturday, the George Mayienga girls stunned Cape Verde 61-58 in their second match on Sunday night to revive their hopes of qualifying into the quarterfinals.
The continental finalists in the 12-nation biennial competition will advance to one of the qualifying tournaments for the 2022 Fiba Women’s Basketball World Cup
